A New Venture in Diagnostic Medicine: Histopathology & Molecular Diagnostics

I am pleased to share that I am embarking on a significant new professional venture — the development of a specialised Histopathology and Molecular Biology Laboratory in Gurugram, Haryana, in collaboration with Mr. Ashok Yadav, an experienced laboratory professional with over two decades of expertise in diagnostic laboratory operations. This initiative represents another important step in my continuing journey in diagnostic medicine and laboratory leadership.

Our vision is to build a quality-driven, technology-enabled diagnostic facility that brings together histopathology expertise and molecular diagnostics under one platform. From the outset, our focus will be on diagnostic accuracy, efficient turnaround times, robust quality systems, and responsive clinician support — the fundamentals that define a laboratory others can trust.

The laboratory is being conceptualised as a specialist referral facility serving clinicians, hospitals, and diagnostic centres across Gurugram and the wider Delhi NCR region. The project is currently in the planning and development phase, with considerable emphasis on building the right infrastructure, technology stack, clinical workflows, and quality framework before we open our doors on the 17th of August 2026.

Over time, we envision expanding the platform into more advanced areas of diagnostic medicine — including specialised pathology services, molecular testing, digital pathology, and other emerging diagnostic technologies. The goal is not simply to add capacity to the region, but to raise the standard of what a specialist diagnostic laboratory can offer clinicians and their patients.

For me personally, this venture is particularly meaningful. It brings together nearly three decades of my experience in pathology, laboratory medicine, diagnostic leadership, quality systems, and healthcare strategy with the strong technical and operational expertise of my collaborator. I look forward to sharing more as this initiative progresses — and to building something that reflects everything I believe a great laboratory should be.
